Top 25 Single Malts

Brora 30yo (56.6%, OB, 3000 bottles, 2004) Right now (Updated 14-1-2014), I have tasted and scored 1719 single malt whiskies from Scotland. Out of these ratings some ‘statistics’ can be distilled. One of these, is my ‘Top 25’ of Scottish distilleries. To be included in this list there have to be at least ten or more ratings per distillery. In the third column of the list, you can see the number of ratings and in the fourth column you can see the average rating for that distillery.

Of couse there are some distilleries missing from this list. Some I just don’t like that much, and some (great) distilleries I just haven’t tried ten whiskies from yet. There are some strong contenders from these distilleries: Glenury Royal, Banff, Glen Elgin and Glen Keith, to name but a few. Keep checking this page, because this list is very much alive and changes with time…

If you want to see all my scores, just have a look at my Whiskybase page.
